Hi Marcia

>Although I have worked with Codebook in the past, I do not currently have it on my machine. Sorry.

In the mean time I did a bit of work. I put in a setallx call in the form.release() so as to fire the release of all it's contained object, incl. the grid. This time I got the grid.release() to execute but it so happens that at that moment the grid.columncount is zero. So all of it has come to a nil. grid.destroy() also has the grid.columncount = 0, so in neither of them I can do a for loop for the columns to save their widths.

The only place I have where the grid.columncount is > 0 is in form.release().

Any thing that comes to your mind that I have missed out in the above description.
Regards
Bhavbhuti
