I've mentioned this before, but since youre relatively new here < s >...
The worst program I've ever had to debug was a Fortran program written by a genius type person (the type whose head can handle anything but who may put his shoes on the wrong feet and not notice) where he had a variables "naming convention". It was the card deck! This included input fields, which are not data-defines as they are in xBase. And it was a program on punch-cards, so there was no easy way to change them globally.

After suffering that you might understand how "Hungarian" isn't really relevant ** to me **. As I said elsewhere, I do respect the 'conventions' used in other's programs when I modify them. And I do adhere to shop standards wherever I work. But in these days of more than 10 character variable names, and especially also when "Hungarian" fails to meet its objective when it comes to VFP objects, it's benefits are next to NIL.
