Hi Malcolm
Don't be so disheartened. I have a feeling, just like you it is clearly speculation on my part, but I feel VFP will stay on as an independent language cause everything else will be in .net, there is no more of the original VB only VB.net which I believe is much different new wine old bottle stuff. C++ has been replacved by C#. Java is not to be touched. I believe this, as only VFP is a true blue language, MS has for a future fall back (not that it will be required to be fallen back on after the marketing push .net languages are getting). But these .net languages are all practically new, and new languages have thier on pitfalls. Count on VFP being around for atleast 15 (20?) years out of which 10 have already been granted. How old will you be after 15 years? Retirement age then why you worry? <vbg>
