Nope, I think it's great that you're doing some "out-of-the-box" thinking about what kind of things are done with VFP.

No reason to be embarrassed. The only reason I came to this solution is because I tried to use the Control class when it first came out and was very disappointed with it. On the surface, it seems like a great addition; but in reality, it ends up being more of a waste of space and effort.
