>>You're exactly right when you say it is all speculation. Until June 1, we won't know.

>I agree. And yet, I have never seen Ken post so frequently about the topic of VFP's "future" as he has over the past month. Ken's been dropping hints all over the place. I've been tracking Ken's recent posts (UT, Profox, MSDN forum) and I would be surprised if his June newsletter includes anything new beyond what he's already posted.

Gentlemen, please....

There is absolutely no need to speculate on VFPs fate currently. A lot of VFP developers are not even using VFP9 at this moment (I have to wait for a critical bugfix) and there is a hint for a SP1. Further Ken made it pretty clear that there will be more development post VFP9, on .NET interop, integration of new technologies and other new features.

I really wonder what it takes to make you guys happy ?? Even when Ken is going to announce a VFP10 in june, I can see you all nagging this will be the last version.... You're asking for new versions just for the sake of new versions in stead of new features and enhancements. You've been infected with the virus of all FUD spreaders and are desperately trying to prove them that VFP is still alive and kicking. Come on, get over that the FUD spreaders will always have something to nag at the old fox. In stead of self-sorrow and having an identity crises, just look at what the Fox can give you. Enjoy the challenge to show those FUD people why fox is still alive..

I was pretty happy with what Ken has announced already, given the negative mood arround here about its future. AFAIK, the roadmap of VFP and its features is not cast in stone. So lets see what Ken has to announce in June.

Walter,
