Hi Nadya,

I saw the other thread about slower form start in vfp9. Gut reaction is to look for common roots. The pattern seems to be different in that only the first start is slow and presumably every save is slow. Perhaps something createobject() in formstart and newobject() in saving ?

I personally only have worked with mere mortals only on 2 optimizing projects well before vfp9, so I cannot try to recreate your error: I worked within the customers environment. But probably the best way to get help and/or fix the problem is to create a small dummy projrct with the error but with most of your biz classes excluded. If your project is huge, create one from scratch, if it is middle-sized, copy to a new directory and start slashing in the copy until most of your code is gone. YOu either find the critical section with this approach yourself or get a downloadable version for others to check. I still think finding such glaring differences directly with coverage/debugger is faster <g>.

regards

thomas
