Now you're compounding the error! :-) As of this am £1 = $1.80 - ish. I think only up to not long after WW 2 the pound was worth c. $4 (the "old money" 5 shillings - £0.25 - used to be nick-named a "dollar"). Back in the late 80's we nearly reached parity, and I thought the Ravens were going to leave the Tower of London! :-)
