Well, I am in LA and have looked at the registry. In fact I have rerun the unregistering and registering several times with no luck.

Question: From a command prompt, when doing the unregistering and registering, it does the usual flash. I mean by that you barely see the command window title or something flash. This is normal as I have done this many times. I always assumed it is doing the registering.

Now I am wondering, perhaps it is just not doing it, because I do not have administrator rights. I do not get any error or anything. It goes thru the motions but it doesn't ever show up in the registry.

I can tell you this. If I try to run msconfig, I get an error: "You may have to log in as administrator..."

The network administrator has told me that I have full access to the computer, but I am not logging in as administrator, and I believe the inability to run msconfig, tells me I may not have enough rights to modify the registry as well. Looks like I would get an error when I try to do the registering, if I do not have sufficient rights, but that may not be true.

All I know for sure is that I go thru the motions of doing the registering and it never shows up in the registry when I run regedit. I searched for it.

Thanks for any advice,
John
