Not sure where you're seeing the statement above, but on pg. 31 of the conference brochure (which covers all 4 conferences), I find the following:

SATISFACTION: If on the first day of the Event the attendee is not satisfied, a refund can be requested.

It goes on to spell out the rules for a refund. No distinction among the conferences.
