I couldn't agree more. Look, I've used UT very little in the past few years. I've been here once every 6 months on my old account at the most. But then a few weeks ago one of the guys at MS said I should maybe come by and give this place a sincere try and see what I thought. I decided to do so, though I was quite certain I wouldn't like it near as much as the other VFP communities I frequent (Tek-Tips, Fox Wikis, Newsgroups, Etc).

I've been pleasantly surprised so far... I mean the bells and whistles this forum have are really nice from an interface standpoint. Took me a little bit to figure them all out, but I'm getting there and I like them. Then there's the members... you've got Ken Levy posting like a mad man in here, Sergey is in here, Tamar is in here, Craig Bernston is in here, I saw Barbara Peisch poke her head in the other day somewhere, Alex is in here... heck, that's some pretty good company for a VFP developer to be in as far as I'm concerned. There are others of you I have no doubt missed in my short list above and for that I apologize. Some of you I just missed in the moment of my typing here and others I don't know well enough yet, but needless to say I've seen some pretty decent solutions coming from a number of people not on my list above.

Now, all that having been said... I've seen some pretty wicked and unprofessional verbal wars since coming here. Not very becoming to the forum as a whole. Take that for what it's worth and please don't go attacking me, I'm not in the habit of fighting back when personally attacked. I've found that responding professionally or not at all, even to the most personal of attacks, does more than all the snide remarks I could possibly utter.

So anyways, from someone who is new here, but been around the block a few times elsewhere, I think this place is great. I'm glad that I've increased my use of this forum. Martin your work at UT and your articles speak for themselves. As for Terry's assertion that VFP articles have been decreasing and .NET has been increasing in the magazine... over time, I would say that Terry is speaking the truth. I can see that FAQs, Downloads, and solutions can be posted in this forum, but is there a way to submit VFP content for possible inclusion in UTM? And would additional VFP content of merit be well received by UTM, or have you got all the VFP content that you want at the moment? Perhaps there is a link to author materials and information that I've missed somewhere?

To me, it's always best when presented with a problem to work on the solution and not waste time with who might be to blame.

>Please, let's go back to the friendly ways we all used in this forum, and make our best efforts to get our differences be productive instead of combative.
