Malcolm,
I wish this could be done via pivots, would be easiest for me - unfortunately no:( I'm checking ADOMD and OLAP but no where yet (and couldn't do from .Net either). I might end up the ugly way of pasting and grouping (or better yet dropping this saying not supported with Excel - MS KB are clever showing samples only with no hierarchy involved:).
