Back in the days when most UK clubs comprised mainly UK players. One Liverpool team, back in the early 80's fed no less than 6 players to the England team. Dalgleish would have been there too but he's a Jock (Scottish) (I know - they're ALL jocks in the US)

I've never heard that and, as you know, I'm from Liverpool. The bird featured on the team badge is the mythical "Liver Bird", symbol of Liverpool, which you can see on the top of the Liver Buildings in Liverpool (sure you'll get a pic of it with a short surf)
