He was emulating Bruce Groebeler, the L. goalie of 20 years ago, his actions in the same situation and saving the ball. It sho's hell worked as it seemed to mesmerise the strikers. I was confused why he got away with it as I understand the FA rules to be that the goalie mustn't move till the ball is kicked. It's rarely strictly enforced but, come on! this was kicking the arse out of the rule! :-)
