Internet or intranet?

You would need an IIS box if you use Windows. You'd need a good firewall if you connect to the outside (in case of Intranet).

If Internet, you'd need to decide if you want to host it yourself, a tougher, more complex and more expensive proposition, or if you have a hosting company do it for you, either co-locating your own box and taking advantage of their firewalls and security or sharing space in one of their boxes. In both cases you get admin FTP access to your website.

Do you plan to use a database? If so which?
SQL Server is the most commonly used in Windows but by no means the only one.
Do you plan to use VFP as your web program language?
You can also use other options such as ASP.Net, ASP classic, Cold Fusion, etc.

If you host your own server in your LAN you have total control. If you use an outside company, you may not be able to install VFP runtimes in their box.

Just some thoughts.
