After almost six years here, I have seen a total of about 20 seconds of (so-called, American) football and zero seconds of baseball. Every now and then I get in a sport-show-biz related discussion, and usually weasel my way out with "frankly, I don't understand the rules of the game... and don't bother explaining them to me".

Not that I watched any sports at home, but at times when I had no choice, at least I understood the rules of The Football. Basketball was interesting at times - the sport that best fits the TV (because the rules change every few years to meet that goal).
