Hi Herman,

>I agree with Christof. It is time consuming :)

Especially for my pea brain :)

>I have a DLL in the download area that can control the position of the dialog (file #14876). However it only tested thoroughly under WinME and some small test under W2K. I'm not sure it will work under XP, because the Common Control Library has been changed.

I'm not a big fan of the CommonDialog FileOpen appearance after seeing the more modern GetFile() look available with newer versions of VFP under 2000 and XP. Or perhaps I'm just using the CommonDialog control wrong?

Anyway ... I'm thinking that, at some point, I may be more productive building a GetFile() type form using native VFP functionality (grid, adir, etc) vs. slogging through a Windows API solution using the CommonDialog control. Another advantage of a VFP based solution is that all my customers will be able to enjoy its added features - not just customers with Windows 2000 or XP.

Thanks for your comments!
