Just saw it this evening. I agree about the crappy dialog. It's pretty sad when R2D2 is more expressive than most of the actors. Somehow you expect a little more passion/emotion if events are supposed to be shaping the history of the galaxy!

- Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker) can't act his way out of a paper bag.
- Natalie Portman (Padme) is actually fairly talented ("The Professional", "Garden State") but she had little to do in this flick.
- Ewan McGregor (Kenobi) can be talented ("Trainspotting") but lately he seems to prefer musicals. He puts no passion into this role.
- Samuel L. Jackson is extremely talented but badly restricted by this role/dialog.
- Ian McDiarmid (Palpatine) was about the only actor able to overcome the script.
