I am creating custom Crystal Reports in Version 11 for a client.

They have an existing application that uses Crystal Reports Version 7.1.

I don't think I can tie the new Version 11 reports into the existing system because of runtime file incompatibility. Is that right?

Also, if I modify one of their existing reports using my Version 11 software then it won't run in their existing system due to runtime file incompatibility? Is that right?

Finally, what if I installed Crystal Reports Version 6 and modified their reports that are run using Version runtime files, then would I also have an incompatibility problem?

I imagine the software is more backward compatible than forward compatible. Thanks for your help.
