Go to your Tool/Options menu, and look at the DATA tab. There is a combo box for Locking & Buffering. Be sure it is set to 'OFF'. This should allow you to update data directly from the command window without having to issue a TableUpdate() command

Sylvain's suggestion about Buffering and TableUpdate() in your form sounds correct, also.

The form works fine with two exceptions both involving grids which do not allow data to be saved. At least one of these grids is virtually identical to several others on the form which work just fine. The entries made in these grids appear on the form even when the record pointer is moved, however, when I quit VFP and re-enter the data is gone.
