Thanks for that suggestion. This works a little bit better, but I still get a flash of that damn (errrr...) busy mouse cursor, plus the effect of turning on and off the mouse cursor (with the flash of the busy cursor) isn't that much better than the multiple busy cursors I'm getting now.

So, back to my original question: Any clever suggestions on how I might LOCK in place a standard mousepointer or disable VFP's decision to display a busy cursor?
