If it looks like VFP has scrambled some class code (which it has been known to do from time to time), there are a couple of things you can try. First, open your vcx as a table and pack it. IF this doesn't help, try moving the class to another library by opening two instances of the class browser and dragging the class to another library. if THAT doesn't help, looks like your stuck cutting and pasting code to a class started from fresh.

It will be more terrible to pack the VCX!!!
I call this because VFP claim my VCT file is corrupted when I try to Pack it!!
Even I change the coding in method field, the error still here.
I agree with u that VFP may scramble something... because:
if the parent class is another user-define type, there seem to place to put the
locate VCX on search!

Finally, I am lucky to pick up a 3 days before VCX and place the coding bit-by-bit to update the old VCX. Then, the problem seem solved.

Anyway, I want to know in what cases there MAY occur these serious problem.
I have spare some much time on VCX to define class, if corrupt...
Surely I lose many things. ~'.'~

Anyway, I recommend progr to backup at least 1-2 weeks program files to prevent
error.
