>Situation: I visit a customer. That customer paid for a given numbers of hours for on-site support. To make everything very clear I'd like to have something to certify what was done, when, how long...

>This way I have a proof if at one point that customer say that I did'nt respect my engagement in all my visits.

>So what kind of documents do you guys have to control this?

>Or do you have web sites that could show samples for those?
Keep a handwriiten record. Date - time in timeout - and a summary of services rendered. I have understandings with my customers that include how much travel time they will pay - will they pay for both trip out and trip in - or just one leg - or none. I don't think I have but one or two signed agreements - everything is done by handshake and based on trust/
When I billm I just type it up on Word in plain obvious text - no spinning or flaming logo's requuired.
Don't look at the journal as something to prove to your customer that you did something. Your customer(s) trust and like you. Prospects that appear not to trust should be avoided. Only a thief suspects others of being a thief!
The journal is just a record to help you bill your customer. If you had cheated someone before - they will see it in your eyes - if your in the door - then you're their guy!
