Thank you for your response. I used the ms link that you gave for msde installation. First of all I have to tell you that I was using MSDE200a.exe not sql2kDesksp3.exe.

Then I followed the installation.

Setup.exe /qb+ INSTANCENAME=NETSDK DISABLENETWORKPROTOCOLS=1 SAPWD=sa SA Guillermo

I also added one more parameter:

SECURITYMODE=SQL

I install database.
I granted permission to GUILLERMO\ASPNET to access server and database.

But no luck still get the same error.

SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

Also I notice if I use:

< add key = "ConnectionString" 
value="Server=guillermo\\netsdk;  Note \\ error is sort of different
Database=northwind;
integrated security=sspi;" /> 

Also now I am not able to connect from osql wuth sa account, I am having this error message:

Login failed for user 'sa'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

Can you see any problem in my installation?
