In the past i've talk about this question with i dont remember who. I've tested the solutions povided by him, but they doesnt works. The problem is:
I have a form with a grid bounded to a child table of a master one. The cursor of the table in the DE has the buffermodeoverride set to 4. The grid has 10 columns, some of them with the sparse propertie set to .f.. One of the columns has an commandbutton that executes the code in order to save changes in this record and do some calculations. The grid allowsaddnew = .t.
Everything works fine, but performance of grid goes slower each time user adds a record. If the user exits the form and reenter it, performance returns good.
My user must add thousands of records each day, so he must exit the form and reenter a lot of times in the day. I've suprresed all count, sum... clauses.
What can i do or test?
Is better to use a transaction instead of the buffermodeoverride ?
I'm absolutely lost.
