To copy a file use the COPY FILE command...
Copy File my.exe to my.txt
or
Copy File my.txt to my.exe
At the risk of sounding pedantic, you might try looking in the VFP Help File. There's a lot of good stuff in there and if you put the word "copy" in the index search the COPY FILE command is the first thing that pops up in the list of topics.
