I have created a different maintenance form i.e. instead of using the grid on tab1, details on tab2 I have a single form with the details on it.

I want to use the mmPicker control to select the record to display, how do I go about this?

I have persons table with a PK value, and some name information. I want to display the name information in the mmPicker, but use the selected PK to select the current business object. How do I get the PK value back from the mmPicker?

This is simply an exercise in working with the maint forms. All was working fine with the "select a record from the grid" idea, I simply want to select a record using mmPicker instead.
