>I have to review an application developed in FoxPro for Windows 2.6. I have never installed FoxPro for Windows 2.6 on an XP PC and was wondering if there are any issues... for example, will installing it cause any problems with VFP 6 through 9? Can I run the 2.6 application on the XP PC? I think I remember something about a special setting or file required when running 2.6 on a modern/fast PC...
Joel,
I'm not sure if you would have any problems installing FPW 2.6 on WinXP but it wouldn't interfere with VFP afterwards. If you've FPw 2.6 installed on another PC, you can just copy whole directory to your PC and it'll work. It's also a good idea to install FPW 2.6a patch which still available at
ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/developr/fox/public/fpw/patches/.
After install is done, see
