Add to this the undisputed fact that the Bush administration flat out
lied to the American people about Iraq's involvment in 9/11. Bush
used Iraq as a scapegoat to advance his political agenda.

Some presidents make good war time presidents, some good peace time
presidents. Following 9/11, Bush's approval rating was great - right up
until he eyeballed Iraq.
