The code name Sedna (see http://www.nineplanets.org/sedna.html) was selected since it is a possible planet beyond Pluto (the ninth planet), as a good follow-up from the code name Europa (moon of Jupiter) for VFP 9.0. From reading your comments, you are simply reading in way too much in the code name. It has no meaning beyond what I saw here. There is never any real meaning in code names, just name until we decide on what the formal name will be called formally. The details of pricing, packaging, and formal release name for the Sedna project will be determined sometime late in 2006, around 6 months before it is released.
