My best guess would be no but I’m hoping I’m wrong.
>And while that wont stop me from developing in version 8 ( I currently have and use that version) It would stop me from spending any more time and or money buying license’ and training my team on foxpro. If Foxpro has hit its last version then I’ll step up my training in other platforms. I just want to know if Microsoft has already made that decision.

I understand what you are saying, but my own opinion is that even if those other companies/teams did tell me there definitely was going to be another version, I wouldn't bet/bank on it until I had a copy to use. They can't honestly know for sure. There are no guarantees.

Even Sedna could not come to fruition for many different reasons, despite everyone's best intentions. I and other ".Net bullies" <s> tend to recommend hedging ones bets either way. That makes whether or not there's a VFP 10 or a VFP 9+Sedna or whatever fairly moot. I'm pretty sure that I could, if I had to, get by with VFP 9 and the current .Net and SQL Server for the rest of my career, which I'm afraid will have to continue for at least another 20 years or so. Yet I also know that, since old dogs can learn new tricks, I can also become more than proficient fairly quickly with whatever tool may come along to replace all of these things. Leaning about VFP9 and, if so inclined, DotNet, will help me or whomever prepare for whatever comes down the road.

I'm not arguing against your point, just stating my own POV which I, quite selfishly, wish was more prevelant. :)

Kelly
