Interestingly, Microsoft wants you to make the decision to step up your training for other platforms, of course hoping that your platform of choice will be .NET.

Virtually everything about this announcement says 'get your *ss over to .NET as soon as you can'. In return you will get extensibility of your VFP investment in .NET.

I fear that the press will turn this into a "Microsoft announces end to releases of VFP".

> I think if I could reach someone at ford motor company and ask them if there going to make a mustang next year they could give me an answer, If I asked a member of the VS dot net team if they plan to release another version of dot net in the future they would likely be able to answer. My best guess would be no but I’m hoping I’m wrong.
