>>That’s just cyclic cryptic bull. It just refers you right back to the roadmap. If you are unable to answer the question (I can’t say the boss wont let me) or (Or I don’t know we haven’t decided yet) then just say so.
>What do you think the benefit is of us saying what we don't plan to do (in an official way)?
Well you wouldn't have a bunch of VFP developers running around all ticked off trying to decifer cryptic infomation....and you'd give a bunch of developers and businesses the ability to plan for the future.
> How do you think that would impact the job market for VFP developers?
Probably not at all...seeing how the "VFP is dead" concept has been around for a few year and now we've got this other cryptic press release to top it all off....
>I suggest to pause and consider what is best for VFP developers and the community. There is more at stake here than just how we enhance VFP technically. The VFP community, business, vendors, etc. are all impacted what is said and not said. If there is something that has not been disclosed or answered that would help you on some way, please let me know what that is and how I can assist you in your efforts.
I've always thought openness and honesty and being direct and forthcomming were generally pretty good for any community....but I'm just a lowly software engineer.
