That was a great response and resonated with me. I think I finally have a handle on the road map.

I'm looking forward to participating in the Sedna design process through whatever mechanisms you have planned for community involvement.

>We considered that, but we didn't want to say add-on since there will probably be some enhancements to the core VFP product (like a service pack with some critical features and enhancements as in Windows XP SP2 had), and that is more than just an add-on. So while Sedna may require VFP 9.0, it may also be more than just an add-on. The other thing to keep in mind is that while the roadmap lays out all of the VFP plans in the VFP Roadmap, things can change based on demand, priorities, trends, etc. and we are not in the business of listing what we don't think we will do or what we might not do because it closes the door to those options and hinders those in the industry involved (in this case the VFP community and job market demands).
