You could go with either VB 6.0 or VB.Net.

I suggested they not get VFP althought I have written a similar front-end in VFP before, because if they have someone else come in and take over for me, then it'd be better for them in the long run to stick with VB or something else, if someone can suggest a different front-end development software instead of VB or VFP.
