And to take advantage of SOME of the Sedna stuff, you'll probably need to learn a bit of .NET. In one of Ken's posts, he mentioned that you might use VB.NET to script something for Sedna, much as you use VBA as a scripting language in other MS products.

Also, if they're giving us direct access to some .NET framework classes via Sedna, you'll of course need to learn what those classes do and how they work.

Because of those reasons, learning some .NET over the next couple of years will probably pay off in more ways than one.
