As I told you in a previous post, it's a misconception that .Net apps need to use any type of web presence to run or be developed. .Net was a marketing term plastered onto a group of technologies. If you look at Visual Studio 2005, the term .Net has pretty much disappeared, although you still need the .Net framework.
You can write .Net apps that run on the web or just on Windows or even a Pocket PC.
>I don't know anything about VB.Net yet. If I create an app in VB.Net does it have to run on the Internet or can it run in Windows as a Windows app just as if it were written in VB 6.0? Thanks for the information.
