Can't figure what did you read in Calvin's blog that drives you to such conclusion. As for the Roadmap, I can't derive that either.

As I see it, if they really want to push anyone to .NET, they would have provided migration tools. Look at VB6.

Well, there will be always something we will miss or have preferred different, but they are working (at research level) in several of this aspects. Time will tell...
