I'm not sure I completely understand the problem here. However, you might also look at the MOUSE commands, which allow you to simulate a click, drag, or double click event programmatically. The reason I responded to Bruce with the API information was that he needed to simulate a MouseDown event, which is beyond the scope of those commands.
