>I am having an issue with the ADIR() function again. I am using the skeleton '855284' + '*.pdf' to get a list of files. The result contains all the correct plus a file '855111-401A.pdf'. The DOS file name of this file is '855284~1'. I noticed that in the VFP 8.0 there is an extra parameter that the ADir() function has that deals with DOS naming convention. If this will solve my problem how can I implement this in my 6.0 version? What is strange is if I use the skeleton '855111' + '*.pdf' the result will also contain the '855111-401A.pdf'. It seems the Adir() looks for the short file name first and then the long file name, else how could this file name show up in both searches?

Steven,
Try filer.dll that comes with VFP instead.
