I'd suggest you investigate about the SQL Adapters in the VFP help. I use a xml file instead of an INI to save configuration data for my application. It doesn't make any difference though.

>I have a contract to build an application but the client wants the backend in Sql 2000. I have always used VFP for back and front. So should I build it and upsize it? Or build the tables in Sql and connect to them? Either way I have no Idea how I would get the resulting tables on the clients server. Any help in this area would help. I had a friend tell me about an Ini file pointing to the server and database on their Sql Server. What ever that is.... Thanks for the help in advance.
I'm a mixture of Albert Einstein and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The only trouble is that I got Einstein's body and Schwarzenegger's brain
