If I understand your question, you want a particular table selected when a user selects a commandbutton (or other possible controls). This is not an automatic feature of the Data environment (DE). The DE provides for opening the tables in the default datasession (one that is current at time of form is created) or in a datasession that is private to the form. If you want to have a particular table selected, you will have to provide in code which table to select (SELECT tablename) and then incorporated into the Gotfocus() event of the individual controls.
