As an outsider looking in I must say that it seems surprising that Dr. Dean can cause such a furore with so few words.

From here it really looks like his critics are using "political correctness" selectively. I had the impression (mistaken, I guess) that the Republicans particularly had an intrinsic abhorrance of "political correctness" of any kind. Certainly Pat Robertson and the other puppet masters speak 'bluntly' and only revert to political correctness when they feign an 'apology' to get the media off their backs.

I'd say the politics down there (U.S.) looks as muddled and near-useless as it is up here.

cheers

>In general, he is a political socialist, IMO, which is way further left than the vast majority of voters. The way to win back voters is not to let your emotions run away with you (as he did during early on in the Dem primaries). He can not seem to control his mouth and therefore is assassinating himself and his party politically which makes him an idiot so to speak. Another gauge of his far left philosophy is his woeful lack of bringing in funds to the DNC. To me, this is a reflection of how "we" view him as their party's leader.

>When was the last time the Democrats in Congress actually had an original AND good idea? All we hear from them is bitching and moaning. Until the Dems can get a true leader at the DNC and start setting out a visionary agenda, their hellish spiral will continue. I am a firm believer in the free market/enterprise where fair competition drives up quality and prices down. So too do I think both parties need to be strong and visionary so we can get high levels of competition to drive the quality up. When was the last time you thought there were 2 excellent choices for President? How about just 1 excellent choice? IMO, we have not had one for about 21 years now.
