Thank you for the information. It is very helpful! I have been reading through various documentation and it did not specifically say that PACK affected the memo fields. However it did specifically say that PACK MEMO affected the memo fields. I did not want to assume that PACK by itself affected memo fields. I had done some tests, but was unable to tell whether the memo fields were packed or not.

This does help because I do have many deleted fields and memos need to be packed.
