No, no, no. The truth is important. When you listen to politicians, it is evident, at least to me, that the truth and what is right does not seem to matter to them. The only thing of importance to them is increasing their power as well as that of their Party. If the truth has to be sacrificed to obtain those goals, then they will gladly do so.

Now there is one notable exception of late to this. In the State of New York where they are trying to win the 2012 Olympics, there is a 3 person panel that had to decide whether to spend $2+Billion to build a new stadium in Manhatten. The Governor of NY and the mayor of NYC voted yes. The speaker of the New York State Assembly abstained which effectively killed the stadium and most likely their hopes of getting the Olympics. That took guts. The reason for the $2+ billion cost? Prime real estate.
