Hi

I have upgraded to VFP9 and my users are generally on VFP7. Is it possible to amend application project elements (e.g. programs and forms) within VFP9, compile it within VFP9 and run it on PCs with VFP7 runtimes? I have not at this stage used any 'new' features. I would like to distribute the new exe without going through reinstallation. Although I still have VFP7, it is not installed on my current PC, but on one which is not usually fired up (and isn't on a network). I hope not to have to duplicate the amendments on the old machine, recompile...

I also have noted the change to the SQL - Select ... GROUP syntax, which now requires all fields other than aggregate functions to be specified (but VFP9 does not make this simple to do in the Query Wizard). Does this mean that my existing SELECTS within the VFP7 applications will not work? And if so, what do I lose by SETting ENGINEBEHAVIOR to 70?
Regards

Mike
