Not that my two or thres cents matter but.....
I've been developing in VFP for about a year now and I like it a lot. I came from a java background and also started using .NET. VFP's cursor engine is great, but everything it does I can go with a dataview in .NET. I havent found something in VFP that I couldnt do in .NET, of course I've only been using VFP for a year. I find a combination of .NET dataview's and the VFPToolKit for .NET too be a great combination and a good replacement for the VFP cursors. My boss loves the VFP cursors and wont switch to .NET because of that, so I showed him the above, still didnt work....
Building something quick to analyze data, no doubt go with the Fox, but otherwise at least give .NET a chance it does have some great features, and when you combine them...I think thats the key!
