Don't count out the possibility just yet. The VFP team hasn't had a chance to spend enough time with Avalon/XAML yet, and the Avalon development is only in early beta at this time. Don't expect visual designers in VFP for Avalon forms, that will be done with new tools in VS down the road (after VS 2005). But VFP is great for working with (creating, editing, etc) XML strings/files, and the UI of Avalon is driven by XAML (XML) source files - not including the .NET code associated with them (code behind). The point is, I share the same dream you do on this VFP/Avalon stuff, and you will see how far I've gotten in prototyping in the new Channel9 video next week.
