Menachem,

It's my primary development tool for datacentric applications. I use it for a number of reasons, but if I'm honest the main one is that I've used it so much that I don't have to think too hard about the language anymore.

The thing that it does best, as far as I'm concerned, is that it attracts professional developers. That may sound strange, but I live in the sticks (Malta) and the programing talent here is virtually nil. Not because the Maltese make lousy programmers, but because there aren't many Maltese in the first place. Although I'm an above average developer in the UK, not brilliant, just above average, here in Malta I'm pretty near top of the heap.

So....if I have a problem I either solve it myself, or read around the subject. The FoxPro team of developers, that's you lot out there, are a great bunch of people who share their knowledge in a thoroughly professional manner. Okay, there are some irritations like bad language, to me calling someone's argument a 'crock of crap' is bad language, but on the whole, the level of help and assistance that FoxPro developers give is far beyond any I've see for any other language (have you seen the number of messages in the UT VB forum for example?). This is worth more to me than FoxPro not doing a lot of things that other development languages do or are supposed to do.
