This can be done today in VFP 9.0 via project hooks. We may be able to get some easier solution (utility) earlier to try it out and use. I can envision this type of things for other file types as well (custom controlling them for the VFP project manager). Also, I believe if the XML file extension is registered to an application for Edit like VS 2005, the VFP project manager will open it in that app by default.
