The DE is set to optimistic buffering and private datasession. As explained the user click on the Add Item command button which executes code to add a blank entry to the child table and sets focus to a series of text boxes ( outside the grid ). The entries are made here ( not in the grid ) and in the LostFocus event of each I refresh the grid. One would have thoght that the grid would then show the correct value, howver. It does some of the time for the first 2-3 entries and then dosen't. Any suggestions in this regard. Anurag
